NBA 2K26 players have been voicing frustration after the latest update introduced issues that affected VC payouts, sparking conversations about monetization and fairness. Many players trying to buy NBA 2K MT or earn VC through gameplay felt blindsided when rewards suddenly dropped after the patch. This makes timing dunks inconsistent and punishes players even when they make the right reads and get open. If shooters had to deal with a green window collapsing to a single pixel, the uproar would be enormous—yet slashing builds have been dealing with this problem all year.

Additionally, skill-based matchmaking continues to divide the community. While it helps casual players avoid being steamrolled, it also traps dedicated players in repetitive matchups against similarly skilled opponents.
