AION 2 is now only days away from its global launch, making it one of the most closely watched MMORPG releases heading into October 2026. After months of anticipation, NC has confirmed that the PC version will officially launch worldwide on October 5, 2026, while players with an eligible Founder’s Pack can enter the game through Advanced Access starting September 30 Aion 2 Kinah.

The timing has made AION 2 one of the biggest MMORPG topics for players looking for a new game to jump into. The recent Launch Scale Test also gave players their first extended look at the global version, providing a clearer picture of its combat, progression, classes and large-scale MMO systems.

AION 2 Release Date and Early Access

The most important date for new players is October 5, 2026, when AION 2 becomes available globally. Players who purchase a qualifying Founder’s Pack can start playing five days earlier on September 30.

AION 2 will launch on PC through Steam and NC's PURPLE launcher. A console version is reportedly still in development, meaning PC players are the primary audience for the Western launch.

This five-day Advanced Access period is likely to be especially important for players who want to establish their characters, explore the opening zones and learn the progression systems before the general player population arrives.

For players who participated in the September Launch Scale Test, however, progression does not carry over. The test was specifically designed to prepare the servers for launch, and players will begin again during Advanced Access or the official release.

What the Launch Scale Test Revealed

The September Launch Scale Test was one of the most important steps before the global launch. It allowed players to experience the game before release while giving NC an opportunity to test server capacity and collect feedback.

Recent hands-on coverage suggests that the core combat and progression systems have attracted attention, while some players have raised questions about how social and world activities will feel once large numbers of players enter the live game. One hands-on report described reaching level 30 during roughly 12 hours of testing, with the current level cap reported at 45 for the launch version.

The test also gave players a better understanding of how AION 2 approaches modern MMORPG design. Automated quest navigation, streamlined progression and a more accessible interface make the game easier to enter, although these conveniences have also prompted comparisons with mobile-oriented MMO design.

That makes the launch period particularly interesting. The real test will begin when the servers are filled with thousands of players competing for resources, completing group content and participating in faction-based activities.

AION 2 Classes and Combat

Class selection will be one of the biggest decisions for new players. NC has continued expanding AION 2's class lineup, including the Brawler, a close-range combat class focused on gauntlet attacks, Rage generation and powerful combo-based abilities. The Brawler was introduced through the game's Chapter 1 update alongside new regions and additional progression systems.

AION 2 also continues the franchise's emphasis on aerial combat. Rather than treating flight purely as a movement feature, the game incorporates the sky into combat and positioning, giving battles a vertical dimension that separates it from many traditional tab-target MMORPGs.

For players deciding which class to main, the best approach during launch week will be to consider whether they prefer melee pressure, ranged damage, support abilities or more flexible combat roles. With the global launch bringing a large new player population, class guides and build discussions are expected to become major community topics immediately after release.

PvE, PvP and the World of Atreia

AION 2 is designed around more than traditional questing. The game features open-world content alongside dungeons, group activities and larger raid encounters. Available information points to solo dungeons, four-player instances and eight-player raids as part of its PvE structure.

PvP is another major part of the AION identity. The conflict between factions remains central to the experience, while open-world PvP provides opportunities for players to encounter opposing players outside traditional instanced content.

The game's scale is also a major selling point. AION 2 presents a much larger version of Atreia, with aerial movement and faction warfare intended to make exploration feel more dynamic than simply moving between quest hubs.

What Players Should Do Before October 5

With Advanced Access beginning September 30, new players should prepare before launch rather than waiting until the servers open.

First, decide whether you want to enter during Advanced Access or wait for the free global launch. Founder’s Packs provide early access, but players who do not purchase one can join when AION 2 officially launches on October 5.

Second, choose a class before creating your main character. AION 2's class system is broad enough that understanding your preferred combat style beforehand can save time during the opening hours.

Finally, expect the first week to focus heavily on leveling, equipment progression, dungeon groups, faction activities and economy systems. The game's Steam community has also confirmed that direct player-to-player trading is disabled as an anti-bot measure, with the Market serving as the central player trading system.

AION 2 Launch Is Almost Here

AION 2 is entering its most important stage yet. September 30 marks Advanced Access, while October 5 is the official global launch, giving MMORPG fans a major new release to explore at the start of October.

After the recent Launch Scale Test, players now have a much clearer idea of what to expect. The combination of aerial combat, faction warfare Aion 2 Kinah for sale, large-scale PvE, multiple classes and a massive world gives AION 2 plenty of systems to explore from day one.

The next major milestone is now only days away. For players planning to start fresh, September 30 and October 5 are the two dates to keep on the calendar.
