YouTube Vanced was a hacked version of the YouTube app that provided free premium features such as ad-blocking, background playback, and better controls. It was, however, officially shut down because of legal concerns, and official downloads are no longer available. There are numerous third-party websites that provide YouTube Vanced, but these can be dangerous, with malware or old versions. A more secure and stable option is ReVanced, an open-source project that still offers equivalent features. Installing ReVanced involves downloading the ReVanced Manager from its official GitHub site, then utilizing it to patch a compatible APK of YouTube prior to installing. If you also want to sign in using your Google account, install Vanced MicroG in addition. Be sure to download from reputable sites to maintain security and prevent risks.
